Cristy Mathews

Executive Director/Hair Loss Specialist

Cristy is a licensed cosmetologist and salon owner with nearly a decade of experience working in noted salons in Mississippi and Georgia. In recent years, she decided to gain more in-depth knowledge of trichology, the science of hair and scalp disorders. This interest motivated her to receive certification from IAT (International Association of Trichology) in a paramedical field that is helping bridge the gap between cosmetology and dermatology.

As a hair loss practitioner, Cristy's recommendations and holistic therapies have always been customized to her clients' individual needs. However, it was the personal experience of seeing her mom diagnosed with, and ultimately passing from, cancer that inspired Cristy to use her talents and skills to found Hair of Hope. Her mother, Cindy, loved dressing up and letting her outer appearance shine along with her inner beauty. It is Cristy's mission to help her mother's memory live on by creating that same lively spirit of confidence in the clients that Hair of Hope serves.

In addition to being the founder and CEO of Hair of Hope, Cristy is also the owner of Like A Lotus Hair Rehab, LLC. salon and the creator of Tea'd Up/Quarantea an herbal supplement tea developed in response to the Covid pandemic. When Cristy isn't studying to improve her craft or managing her businesses, she can be found painting, crafting, or gardening. Aside from promoting overall health & wellness in her clients, her greatest joy is in parenting her three J-Birds: Jase, Jax, and Joel.
